Types of Lift Tables
Scissor Lift Table The most common configuration — a platform mounted on a scissor mechanism that raises and lowers hydraulically. Available in a wide range of capacities from 500 lbs to 10,000+ lbs and platform sizes to suit your application. Used for assembly, packaging, maintenance, and material positioning.
Pallet Positioner A rotating scissor lift designed specifically for pallet handling — raises the pallet to working height and rotates it so operators never have to reach across or bend down into a pallet. Dramatically reduces strain injuries in pick and pack operations.
Pit-Mounted Lift Table Installed flush with the floor so forklifts and pallet jacks can drive directly onto the platform. Used at loading docks, production lines, and anywhere a flush floor surface is required.
Mobile Lift Table A portable scissor lift on wheels — can be moved to wherever the work is happening. Ideal for maintenance operations, facilities with multiple work areas, and smaller warehouses that need flexibility.

What capacity lift table do I need? Start with your heaviest load and add 25% as a safety factor. Most standard warehouse applications fall between 2,000 and 4,000 lbs capacity. For heavy manufacturing or production line applications, we regularly supply tables rated to 6,000–10,000 lbs. Send us your load specs and we’ll recommend the right unit.
What is the difference between Econolift, Lift Products and Southworth versus online brands? These suppliers are North American manufacturers with a strong reputation for heavy-duty construction and reliability in industrial environments. We recommend them as our primary lift table suppliers because parts availability and service support in Ontario is excellent compared to imported alternatives.
Do lift tables require maintenance? Yes — hydraulic fluid levels should be checked regularly and seals inspected annually. We can advise on a maintenance schedule when you purchase. Most Econolift units are designed for minimal maintenance in normal industrial use.
Can lift tables be customized? Yes — platform size, capacity, stroke height, rotation, tilting, and surface finish can all be customized to your application. Lead time on custom units is typically 8-10 weeks.
