Mezzanines
Warehouse Mezzanines Ontario | Design, Supply & Install
Structural steel mezzanines — engineered, supplied and installed for your exact floorplan and loading. Expand your work and storage areas at a fraction of the cost of a new building or expansion.
Overview
A mezzanine is one of the most cost-effective ways to double your usable floor space without moving to a larger building. Instead of expanding your footprint, you build up — adding a second level above your existing floor for storage, offices, production space, or pick modules.
TC Industrial Supply designs, supplies and installs structural steel mezzanines across Southern Ontario. We handle everything from the initial CAD layout and load calculations through to installation and PSR certification — one company, start to finish.
We’ve installed mezzanines in manufacturing plants, distribution centres, automotive facilities, tool cribs and cold storage operations across Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Hamilton, London and the surrounding region.
Types of Mezzanine Systems
Structural Steel Mezzanine The most common type for industrial applications. A freestanding steel structure built on its own columns — independent of your racking and walls. Can span large areas, support heavy loads, and be relocated if you move facilities. Best for storage, production, and office space above the warehouse floor.
Shelf-Supported Mezzanine Uses industrial shelving as the support structure. Best for lighter loads and smaller footprints — common in tool cribs, parts storage, and back-of-house retail applications.
What’s Included Every mezzanine project we deliver includes a layout, structural calculations, engineer-stamped drawings, installation by our own crews. You get one point of contact from design through to compliance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need Engineering for a new mezzanine? Yes. Ontario Regulations require a sealed capacity report for a mezzanines before they go into service. We handle the Engineering as part of every mezzanine installation — it’s included in our scope, not an add-on.
How much does a mezzanine cost? Most structural steel mezzanines run $55–$75 per square foot installed, depending on load requirements, height, stair and guardrail configuration, and surface finish. A 1,000 sq ft mezzanine typically runs $65,000–$70,000 fully installed and certified. We’ll give you a firm quote after a site visit or review of your floorplan.
How long does installation take? Most mezzanine projects take 3–5 days to install once materials are on-site. Lead time on materials is typically 4–6 weeks depending on configuration. We’ll confirm your timeline when you request a quote.
Can a mezzanine be relocated if we move facilities? Yes — structural steel mezzanines are bolted, not welded, which means they can be disassembled and reinstalled at a new location. A new PSR will be required at the new site.
What loads can a mezzanine support? Standard mezzanines are designed for 125 lbs per square foot live load. Higher capacity designs are available for heavier storage or production applications — we engineer to your specific requirements.
What areas do you serve? We design and install mezzanines across Southern Ontario — Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Hamilton, London, Barrie, Brantford and surrounding areas.
