Pallet Rack

Pallet Racking Kitchener–Waterloo Redi-Rack Systems

Heavy-gauge Redi-Rack pallet racking — selective, drive-in, push-back and double-deep — designed for Canadian forklifts and Canadian climates.

Overview

Pallet racking is the backbone of every efficient warehouse — and the right system depends on your product mix, your forklift, your ceiling height, and how fast your inventory turns. TC Industrial Supply has been specifying and installing pallet racking across Southern Ontario for over 30 years. We carry new and inspected pre-owned systems and handle everything from a single bay addition to a full distribution centre fit-out.

Our default recommendation is Redi-Rack — a Canadian-Made engineered system built for Canadian forklifts and Canadian climates. Heavy-gauge cold-rolled steel, true 3-inch beam adjustability, and capacities to 40,000+ lbs per bay. It's what we'd put in our own warehouse.

Types of Pallet Rack

Selective Rack The most common system in Southern Ontario warehouses. Every pallet is directly accessible by forklift, making it ideal for operations with high SKU variety or frequent picking. Available in single and double-row configurations.

Double-Deep Rack Two pallet positions deep per side, accessed by a double-reach forklift. Doubles your storage density in the same footprint with minimal added cost compared to selective.

Drive-In Rack High-density storage for single-SKU products — the forklift drives into the rack to place and retrieve pallets. Ideal for cold storage, food and beverage, and operations that can work on a last-in, first-out basis.

Push-Back Rack A step up from selective in density without sacrificing selectivity. Pallets are loaded from the front and ride on inclined rails — the last pallet in is the first out. Handles 2–6 pallets deep per lane.

Pallet Flow Rack Gravity-fed rollers move pallets from the load end to the pick end automatically — first in, first out. Best for operations with high throughput and date-sensitive inventory like food, beverage, and pharma.

How we work

Every project starts with your floorplan, your forklift specs, and your inventory profile. From there we produce a layout showing bay configurations, aisle widths, and vertical storage levels — all sized to your building’s column grid and needed capacity. We handle seismic calculations where required and supply engineer-stamped drawings for your PSR if needed.

We supply from in-stock inventory wherever possible. With over $750,000 in Redi-Rack beams, frames, and accessories on hand in Kitchener, most standard projects can ship next-day and be installed within day sor weeks rather than waiting months for product to be made.

Our installation crews are insured, experienced, and work across Southern Ontario weekly — Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Hamilton, London, Barrie and everywhere in between. One call gets you design, supply, installation, and certification under one roof.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does pallet racking cost in Ontario? New selective racking typically runs $100–$135 per pallet position installed, depending on height, capacity, and configuration. Used racking can reduce that by 30–40% for the right project. We’ll give you a firm quote within 48 hours— use the configurator to send us your specs.

Should I buy new or used pallet racking? Used racking is a smart choice when the sizes align with your bay layout and the components pass inspection. We inspect every piece of pre-owned racking we sell and can engineer-certify used systems for your PSR. If the used inventory doesn’t fit your project precisely, new is often worth the difference in lead time and all new comes with free Engineer sealed certification.

What is the lead time on a new system? Most standard projects ship within 1–2 business days from our Kitchener warehouse. Custom configurations or larger projects typically run 2–3 weeks if in stock. We’ll confirm lead time when you request a quote.

Do you install as well as supply? Yes. We design, supply, deliver, and install — and our crews can perform the PSR inspection and rack certification when required. You deal with one company from first call to final sign-off.

What areas do you serve? We’re headquartered in Kitchener–Waterloo and run installation crews across Southern Ontario every week — Cambridge, Guelph, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, London, Barrie, Brantford, and the surrounding region.  Wehave crews all over Ontario and can even supply and install in other provinces.
