Rack Repair
Pallet Rack Repair Kitchener | Southern Ontario - Skip the rebuild
Overview
A forklift impact doesn't have to mean days of downtime and a full bay tearout. Damaged uprights are one of the most common warehouse problems in Southern Ontario — and in most cases, an engineered repair kit gets you back to full capacity in hours, not days— and won't affect your PSR standing. TC Industrial Supply supplies and installs rack repair kits compatible with virtually every rack manufacturer. We assess the damage, specify the right kit, and our crews can be on-site across Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Hamilton, London and the surrounding region fast.
Fix vs. Replace — What's the Difference?
When a forklift hits an upright, most warehouse managers assume the whole bay needs to come down. In many cases it doesn’t. Here’s how the two options compare:
Engineered Repair Kit A repair kit replaces only the damaged section of the upright — bolted to the existing column and engineered to restore full original capacity. The bay usually stays loaded throughout. Our crews complete most repairs in 1–2 hours. When you consider the time to unload and change a frame, cost is typically 50% less than full replacement.
Full Upright Replacement Required when damage is severe — crushed base plates, multiple impact points, or structural compromise above the repair zone. Product must be unloaded, the bay disassembled, and rebuilt from scratch. Significantly more downtime and cost.
How We Assess We inspect the damage on-site and give you a straight answer — repair kit or replacement, with a firm quote either way. We won’t recommend a repair if the upright needs replacing, and we won’t recommend a tearout if a kit will do the job safely.
All repairs kits or frame replacements will keep you compliant with CSA A344 and your existing PSR.

Frequently Asked Questions
How fast can you be on-site? For emergency repairs we aim for same or next business day across Southern Ontario. Call 519-489-2574 directly for urgent situations — don’t email. We can do a quick assessment over email using photos if it is an emergency.
Can you repair racking while the bay is still loaded? In most cases yes. Engineered repair kits are designed to be installed without unloading the bay, which is one of the main reasons they’re faster and cheaper than full replacement.
Will a repair affect my PSR? No — provided the repair is documented correctly. Every repair kit we install comes with documentation confirming the repaired upright meets original capacity. This keeps your racking CSA A344 compliant and your PSR valid.
What brands of racking can you repair? Our repair kits are compatible with most major rack manufacturers — Redi-Rack, Cubic, Interlake (tear drop), Sturdi-Bilt, and all others. Send us a photo of the damage and we’ll confirm compatibility same business day.
Do you also do rack guards and column protectors? Yes — column protectors, end-of-aisle guards, and row spacers are the best way to prevent repeat damage. We stock these items and can install them alongside any repair job.
